All The Mods 3 Modlist 9,4/10 6493 votes

All the Mods started out as a private pack for just a few friends of mine that turned into something others wanted to play! It has all the basics that most other 'big name' packs include but with a nice mix of some of newer or lesser-known mods as well. All The Mods 3 Texture Pack

All The Mods 3 Modlist
  1. So I just started modding my Witcher 3 game from a fresh install and I'm already running into a problem and I'm very confused. This step:
    - Witcher 3 Mod Merger - Download the main file and open it. Extract the W3ModMerger.exe file to the W3Tools one. Then open the extracted file and on the line below the Path to wcc_lite.exe select the '...' button, go to W3Toolsbinx64 folder and double click on the wcc_lite.exe file. Then select ok on the top right corner. In the new tab under the path to TheWitcher3 Mods folder line select the '...' button and select the Mods folder in the TheWitcher3 main one. Close the program then.
The part that says 'double click on the wcc_lite.exe file' after you open Mod Merger. I'm there but I do not see that file, even though I DID put the wcc_lite.exe file into the Witcher3Toolsbinx64 folder.
Why isn't it showing up? Anyone else ever run into this?
    1. Its not just you. I am running into this problem too
  2. ' - The Besserwisser's Patch - Download it manually and open it. Extract both DLC and Mods folder to theWitcher3 main one.'
There is no Mods folder or DLC folder in the contents? Should I just install using NMM?
  3. Hey there, thanks so much for this comprehensive guide. Modding can be a bit daunting at times, and this is a huge help. I just had a question regarding the script merger section. What do the XML and user files do? I tried looking for more information in the guide but I couldn't find it. I'm not using every mod suggested here and I'm wondering if these files are specific settings for your mod list.
    Thanks again.
    1. Ah ok, that makes sense. I'll just stick to my own merges, then. Thanks for the mod list and guide, Great stuff.
  4. @ burny0608
It's possible to replace ghost mode with w3 enhanced edition. Unfortunately you have to skip almost all mods with scripts.
The Good news is, that a lot of them are already integrated in W3EE. Like, All NPC Scabbards , No More Rolling Downstairs, Immersive Cam , Friendly HUD, etc..
This is my actual working modlist.
    Load Order:
    Spoiler:

I also had to create a 'user.settings' file in '...DocumentsThe Witcher 3' as i use mods with scripts from this list,
but I do not merge them. So I had to tell the Game to give W3EE a higher priority than other mods with scripts
    Spoiler:

After unmerging you do not have to merge your mods again.
You do not need Script Merge, as W3EE will get errors if you merge scripts automatically.
You do not need Mod Merge, as with modlimitpatcher the mod limit of TW3 is not a problem anymore.
  5. Hey guys,
i'm currently thinking about replacing ghost mode with w3 enhanced edition. Since im new to W3 modding, i'm not sure if this is possible with this mod list.
Would it work to just delete ghost mode, use cleardevelop comment, unmerge, install enhanced edition and merge again? Or is there more to think about?
Im thankful for any help/suggestions. :)
    Cheers!
  6. Hi,
    Thanks for the modlist.
Simple note. I downloaded the newest version of GhostMode (4.0.3Beta...) which is incompatible with that modlist. This could be noted in the GhostMode step of your modlist.
    Are there any recommended settings?
    Alkira.
    1. We need to wait for the author to update this modlist.
    2. Hi beybus,
Well I wasn't complaining, just warning that the updated version of GM is not to be used with this modlist for now ;-)
      Hey BiRaitBec,
No rush, bro, this modlist is great enough to enjoy more of what the game has to offer, really. I just tried to update the GM to its latest version without success though, my understanding of mod deconflicting process and code is too low to help me figure out what is wrong. The only way for me is to reinstall the game entirely, that is okay, the more i do it the better i become in this modding stuff.
      Cheers.
      Alkira.
    3. Was about to deinstall GM v.3 because combat felt really weird and unrewarding (aka was too difficult for my taste :x). Only learnt about v.4 reading this comment, very unfortunate that it doesnt work with this modlist. Do 'we' already know which mods might be conflicting with it? (Im new to W3 modding). Or is there no other chance than waiting for BRB to get to the bottom of it?
BTW I love your work, BRB. I came from your F4 modlist and am very glad you made one for W3 aswell! :)
      Thanks a bunch.

  7. In response to post #70573373. #70574188 is also a reply to the same post.

yes followed the guide exclusively(minus the Geralt mod since i have used it before and disliked it)not even gotten to adding any of the mods i want to try yet....currently awaiting the game to reinstall so i have a clean slate to try again
    EDIT:
oh also omitted ghost mode since that mod is incompatible with everything and breaks the game in my experience

I can assure you that the mod list is working.
Try to install the mods one by one (or section by section if your courageous) and start after each mod/section the game.
This way you would surely find the problem. (Remember to unmerge, and merge again if you add a mod with scripts)
Ghost Mod is the heart of this modlist. But anyway if you don't use it, ignore also the mentioned patches for GM an the other mods.
    1. never had any luck using ghost mode unless i used it on its own it just does not like other mods for some reason
maybe this list is not for me?
thinking back i had a few issues with the Fallout 4 version of BiRaitBec Modlist as well
as in if i went off script it all fell apart and caused crashes
almost like we use his choices and nothing else or bad things happen
and if am locked into someone else choices then i my as well just play un-modded
perhaps its all unrelated and i just pick bad mods that don't play nice in certain combinations!
    2. Such a modlist is always a good starting point, in modding a game.
But always, if you want to change or add something to the list, you have to learn how to mod the specific game.
Cumming myself from TES/Fallout game it was quite a struggle to understand how modding in TW3 works. For example, I replaced NMM with The Witcher 3 Mod Manager, and unlike TES the first mod in load order wins the contest and not the last one like in TES.
This modlist helped me a lot. Finally to be able to replace GhostMod with Witcher 3 Enhanced Edition, and still use a great amount of the listed mods. And the W3EE overhaul is far more unforgiving, regarding other mods, than GM.
    3. i had it modded fine at one point completed a complete run with all DLC and then decided to see what others have achieved the only real change i made was to manually install everything and avoid mod managers since:
      i never liked NMM and
      Hate vortex almost as much
W3MM does what i did and just places the files in the games MODs and DLC folder
  8. use this guide yesterday and all that's happening is nothing at all the game is active in the task manager and all its doing is using less and less processor after using script merger(it throws errors if merger is not run)....list is busted
    1. In response to post #70573373.
      Spoiler:

Probably to much mods in your load order.
Did you do this step: 'Open the W3ModMerger file in the TheWitcher3 folder. Select the Recommended option and then unselect the following: modHDReworkedProject, modWLM_Phoenix_VIII and modWolfMedallion_Rounded. Now select the Merge option and wait for it to finish, then close the window. First time it will ask you to agree or disagree, you choose agree.' ? Actually there is a fault in the description, as W3ModMerger is not in the TheWitcher3 folder, but in the W3Tools folder.
Alternatively you just can use this mod modlimitpatcher. Place the exe in '...The Witcher 3binx64' and execute it.
Most likely, your game will start without problems.
    2. yes followed the guide exclusively(minus the Geralt mod since i have used it before and disliked it)not even gotten to adding any of the mods i want to try yet....currently awaiting the game to reinstall so i have a clean slate to try again

  9. Are you going to update this guide once a time or is this the 'closed' ?
    1. I installed this 3 times this morning with 3 different mod managers to figure out the beta for ghost mode was breaking my game haha.
    2. brb you have any plans in which area of this year u going to update this guide?
    3. thats great bro!
will it be just a small update or a big overhaul?
And do we better need to make a fresh new game or can we go on with the already finished guide?
Im just looking forward cause the witcher 3 is an absolutely legendary unique game.
its bad that fallout 4 or skyrim se dows not have the engine of the witcher 3
    4. I used the guide this week and I thought things went really well. After an hour of play testing I realized my sword animation was messed up. Every couple swings fast attack wouldn't swing and strong attack wasn't working hardly at all. Punching seemed fine so I knew the key presses weren't the problem. I started playing with the animation mods but I eventually broke the install pretty good. I suspect CA was the culprit, I need to test some more.
    5. I just followed the guide verbatim and it's worked perfectly with no issues. There are a few mods that have been updated but they really just combined their update file into the original one. All is fine so far 3+ hours in. Thank you for your work!
  10. Mod List is a little bit outdated:
Had to replace ' Unification Patch ' with CommunityPatch-Base and Community Patch - Shared Imports as mentioned on the Ghost Mode Site (Version 4.0beta3)
Still got an error 'Error [modsharedimports]localcentitytemplate.ws(1): Class 'CEntityTemplate' was already exported.',
which I solved by deleting 'centitytemplate.ws' in '...The Witcher 3modsmodGhostModecontentscriptsimports'.
Had to skip Complete Animations , as I found no patch for GM 4.0beta3.
    Maybe this help someone.
